[APCEIU] UNPAR International Student Conference 2015 on Global Citizenship: Sustainable Urban and Human Settlement – Creating a Smart City for All

The Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) will be holding the UNPAR International Student Conference 2015 on Global Citizenship from January 16th to 25th, 2015, in Bandung, Indonesia. Under the theme of “Sustainable Urban and Human Settlement – Creating a Smart City for All,” the 10-day conference will see student participants from Indonesia and other parts of the world come together to discuss issues of urban sustainability with various experts in the field.

The conference will consist of lectures given by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) officials, the mayor of Bandung city, university professors as well as other experts in the field. Participants will also make various site visits and brainstorm about policy recommendations regarding urban development study and human settlement. In addition, the conference will also include some cultural activities such as batik technology and traditional dance and games which serve to promote better understanding of Indonesian culture to international participants.

오는 1월 16일~25일, 파라얀간 가톨릭 대학교(Parahyangan Catholic University; UNPAR)가 주관하는UNPAR 글로벌시민교육 국제학생회의 2015인도네시아 반둥에서 열릴 예정이다. “지속 가능한 도시와 인간 거주지 – 모두를 위해 스마트한 시티를 만들기”의 주체로 이번 10일동안 학생 참가자와 전문가와 함께 도시의 지속 가능성에 대해서 토론한다.

이번 회의는 유엔 개발 계획(United Nations Development Program; UNDP) 임원, 반둥시 시장, 대학교수와 전문가 등 강의를 진행하며 참가자들이 현장 방문을 통해서 도시발전과 인간 거주지의 정책 추천할 예정이다. 또한, 여러 인도네시아 문화체험도 준비했고 이번 회의를 통해서 문화 이해를 촉진하는 목표도 있다.
